Module 2: Planning a Community Health Club Project

Access: An online training course conducted virtually through Zoom
Cost per person: US$350 (for 5 people)
Summary of Training: For those have an identified site to start a Community Health Club Project and want to design a successful project or write a meaningful proposal which will deliver on the targets.
Presentations:
- Mapping of each Community Health Club area
- Deciding on the Targets & Time Frame for the CHC Project
- Design of the membership card: selection of topics and indicators
- Budget and Plan of Action
- Design of Research
Target Participant: Project planners and managers / students and interns in NGOs
Required facilities for participants:
- Individual email account
- Reliable connectivity for Zoom
- Computer with video and audio
- An identified CHC village to conduct field work between training days
- Participants must have transport and be able to access the CHC village
- flip chart and markers for field trips
Language of training: English & Swahili
Duration: 5 days
Daily Program: (South African Time)
9 am – 10 am: setting of assignment on Zoom in English
10.30 am – 3.30 pm: workshop group assignment in Swahili
3 pm – 4 pm: Feed back on Zoom in English
Number of training sessions: 10 zoom sessions
Number of field trips: at least one
Duration of zoom session: 1-2 hours

Terms:
- Payment: full payment in advance
- Cancellation: No refund for incomplete or late attendance
- Facilitator expenses: Travel, Accommodation and Meals for 5 days workshop & 2 days travel
- Facilitator fee in Tanzania: paid directly in cash before training starts
- Training Materials: Trainer Guidelines and Zoom recording available to participants
- Intellectual Property: (Creative Commons) Presentations can be shared with acknowledgement
- Visual Aids and Facilitator Guidelines Africa AHEAD logo must be retained.
- Visual Aids: No visual aids included in this module
- Completion: No access to materials / recordings once course date is expired
- Sharing of Screens: No reduction for participants who may share screen (max 5 per screen)
- Observers: foreign management are also participants whether attending the whole sessions or not.
