Achievements: Zero Open Defecation

Within six months, this project had almost reached its target with a total of 214 CHCs in Gutu with  7,963 members out of the 8,274  households, making a 96% coverage. Many of the remaining houses were empty due to economic migration therefore the coverage was considered to include all active households.

Gutu project areas saw  a massive 82% shift towards hand washing with 93% having hand washing facilities compared to 11%  before the hygiene sessions.
