This topic provides 44 images of food. The cards are used to help prompt participants to discuss what foods they should be eating to stay healthy, with the objective of seeing what food is eaten locally.
How to use Card set 10.b. ‘Nutrition: Balanced Diet’
METHOD: MAKE A BALANCED MEAL
- Discuss the difference between types of food: (a) Energy giving carbohydrates and fats, (b) Body building proteins and (c) protective vitamins.
- Hold up the pictures and ask which group each picture belongs to, until everyone knows the difference and can identify the three groups easily.
