The powerpoint shows how Community Health Club is like the engine of a train which can meet SDG targets, not only for water and sanitation (SDG 6), but also for the overarching objective of poverty alleviation (SDG.1.) in a step by step process of community development.
This presentation helped to convinced the IRC team in the DRC that Community Health Clubs might work in this challenging country. They then visited a previous project which has been running in South Kivu, where Africa AHEAD assisted Tearfund to start CHCs in 2014, and were sufficiently impressed to invite us to train their own team in DRC.
