Claire Griffiths – Trustee

Claire Griffiths started a Soil laboratory in Zimbabwe for soil analysis to combat soil degradation. She is currently working  as an ecologist with rural communities in Zimbabwe, encouraging organic composting and tree planting by setting up rural tree nurseries and planting over 20,000 trees per week.  As  a limnologist, she provides environmental impact assessments for positioning of dams, river restoration, grey water  cleaning systems and inter-basement  water transfers in South Africa for Department of Water Affairs and  the Freshwater Research Department at the University of Cape Town.
