Module 4: Training of Community Facilitators

Training  for village level facilitators to enable them to conduct 20 participatory sessions in Community Health Clubs.

Date: TBA as required

Training Period: 10 full days (once a week or twice monthly)

Time: 9 – 4pm (South African Time)

Participant desirable Qualifications

• Some experience in voluntary community work
• At least primary education and fully literate
• English not required but an advantage

Required facilities for the Group training

• Local experienced facilitator for translation to local language
• English speaking (good level) Project Manager / Environmental Health Officer
• Computer literate (Excel, Word)
• Cell phone ‘savy’
• Owner of an android cell phone
• Gmail account
• Adequate airtime
• All training materials downloaded and printed before each session

3. Diarrhoeal disease & Prevention of Dehydration
4. Zero Open Defecation  & Improved Sanitation
5. Water Sources & Storage & Treatment
6. Parasitic Worms & Intestinal helminths
7. Malaria & Bilharzia
8.  Kitchen & Food Hygiene & Vector Control
9. Child Care & Female Hygiene
10. Good Nutrition & Balanced Diet

Cost: US$ 250 per person
