Description of the Training

This topic provides 12 images of  hand washing methods using different types of facilities. The cards are used to help prompt participants  to discuss some of the ways that hand washing can be done properly, with the objective of understanding that many diseases can be prevented by frequent hand washing with soap.

How to use Card set  4.a. ‘Handwashing Method’

This set can be used in three ways:

  1. A participant holds up the card to the audience and describes what she can see in the picture.
  2. The cards can be sorted into three groups of good, average and poor methods of handwashing
  3.  The cards can be used to show how hand washing can  block the route of a number of diseases by showing the cards from 2.a  Common Diseases, and then asking the participants  to select a hand washing card which could prevent this disease from Card Set 4.
